Mindfulness is a kind, gentle attention to what’s here now. The words don’t point to the experience; they gesture toward the space and time of presence.

Mindfulness/Insight meditation is also a practice in which we gain knowledge based on our own direct experiences.

When you, that is, your true nature (which is awareness), befriend the mind and other phenomena that move through awareness, you may see that you can relate to even stressful experiences without suffering.
